This is a hermetic (sealed/non-serviceable) liquid line filter drier — a small pressure vessel with a solder/flare connection at each end, containing a fixed bed of desiccant and filtration material. Refrigerant flows through the drier in one direction only (note the printed arrow on the label), passing through the desiccant core, which removes moisture, acids, and particulate contaminants from the refrigerant circuit. The grey epoxy-coated steel shell, UL/cUL “Listed” marking, and directional arrow are all standard features of this product family.
